Bompas & Parr invited the design community to develop an aesthetic and functional approach to hand sanitising with Fountain of Hygiene: Sanitiser Design Competition to raise money for the Red Cross

Scavenger Lux. A future pandemic-ridden dystopia where surplus carrier bags become feedstock after the world's fashion houses pivot to make hand sanitiser.  The exhibition spent summer 2020 in The Design Museum, London alongside "Electronic: From Kraftwerk to The Chemical Brothers" show.

As the city of Hong Kong emerged from their third wave of Covid-19, the competition journeyed across the globe to relaunch within a new context - at Haw Par Music, a community centre for social, cultural and creative education.  The Fountain of Hygiene HK exhibition was live for a total of 6 months, where the work was viewed by over 10,800 visitors at Haw Par Music!

The global competition invited creatives, designers, makers and those with a good idea, to design inspired takes on the sanitiser pumps and hand washing rituals.

Shortlisted and winning concepts were displayed at the @designmuseum and the project donated all proceeds to the @britishredcross
